Just because restaurants will let you try a sip of wine before you pay for the whole bottle . . . doesn’t mean you can extend that policy into other places in life. The world is not your sommelier.
A guy went into a grocery store in northeast Thailand last week to buy some wine. But the security cameras caught him opening nine different bottles and taking SIPS of them before he finally settled on which wine he wanted to buy.
It was a white wine from Argentina, for what it’s worth.
He paid for the wine and left before the store realized what he’d done and called the cops.
They’re trying to track him down. All in all, the store says he tasted about $64 worth of wine.
