(San Antonio, TX) — The Steak ‘N Shake company is closing 57 restaurants amid the coronavirus pandemic. The company said in its first-quarter report that it will close 51 company-owned stores and six franchises after net sales dropped by 61-million dollars compared with 2019 numbers. The company claims the major losses come from closing dinning rooms during the pandemic. Even after the closures, Steak ‘N Shake will have 553 restaurants across the country still open.
