(Notre Dame, IN) — The University of Notre Dame plans to have students back on campus in the fall. The school’s president, Reverend John Jenkins was on the Today show to explain the reasoning behind the school’s tightened fall schedule, which includes skipping fall break.
The university shut down in-person classes in March due to the coronavirus, but the school will have students in class in August. Returning students can expect testing for the respiratory illness, social distancing requirements and rules about wearing masks. There will also be contact tracing and quarantine protocols. University of Notre Dame President Reverend John Jenkins says his unconventional safety precautions are the only way to ensure the protection of the campus community.
