New at AMC Showplace 10 Theaters in Mattoon this weekend:
1. “The Choice“ (PG-13) Trailer
The latest movie to be based on a Nicholas Sparks novel stars Benjamin Walker as a veterinarian who falls for his new neighbor, a med student played by Teresa Palmer.
If those names don’t mean anything to you, you know him as “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” and her from the zombie movie“Warm Bodies”. She’s also in the “Point Break” remake, and he’s in the new “Moby Dick” movie “In the Heart of the Sea”.
For romantic tension and additional eye candy, Tom Welling plays Palmer’s boyfriend and Alexandra Daddario is Walker’s on again / off again girlfriend.
2. “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies“ (PG-13) Trailer
Lily James stars as Elizabeth Bennet and Sam Riley is Mr. Darcy in this zombie version of the classic Jane Austen novel. It’s set in an alternate universe where the Black Plague has unleashed a zombie apocalypse on 19th century England.
Charles Dance, a.k.a. Tywin Lannister, plays Mr. Bennet . . . who’s trained all five of his daughters into zombie killers. And Lena Headey, a.k.a. Cersei Lannister, is Mr. Darcy’s aunt Catherine, who eventually challenges Elizabeth in a fight to the death.
3. “Hail Caesar!“ (PG-13) Trailer
The new Coen Brothers comedy stars Josh Brolin as a Hollywood fixer in the 1950s, and George Clooney as his studio’s biggest star, who’s just been kidnapped.
Scarlett Johansson is also in it as an unmarried actress trying to keep her pregnancy secret, Channing Tatum and Tilda Swinton are also in it.
