According to CNN, actress Doris Roberts has passed away today at the age of 90.
While she’s had many roles in film, she’s most known for playing Marie Barone, Ray and Robert Barone’s mother in the hit sitcom “Everybody Loves Raymond” which ran for 9 seasons from 1996-2005. The role of Marie earned her 3 Emmy Awards and a Screen Actors Guild Award. She also had received an Emmy for her guest appearance on “St. Elsewhere” in 1983.
Other credits to her name include a lead role in “Remington Steele” a television show from the 1980’s.
