New at AMC Showplace 10 Theaters in Mattoon this weekend:
- “Finding Dory“ (PG)
In Pixar’s “Finding Nemo” sequel, Ellen DeGeneres’ character Dory remembers she has a family, then goes on a quest to find her parents with the help of Marlin and Nemo.
Albert Brooks is back as Marlin. And along the way they wind up at a place called the Marine Life Institute where they meet Ed O’Neill. He’s an octopus who only has seven arms, and his “Modern Family” costar Ty Burrell is a beluga with damaged sonar.
Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy are Dory’s parents.
The rest of the voice cast includes Sigourney Weaver, Idris Elba as a sea lion, Kaitlin Olson from “Always Sunny in Philadelphia” as a nearsighted shark, and Pixar good-luck charm John Ratzenberger. He’s a crab in this one.
- “Central Intelligence“ (PG-13)
Dwayne Johnson is a CIA agent who reconnects with Kevin Hart, the one guy from high school who stood up for him back when he was a chubby, bullied teenager.
He’s also trying to catch a terrorist who’s stolen the encryption key for our spy satellites, and needs Kevin’s help in trying to figure out who the real bad guy is. The rest of the cast includes Amy Ryan, Jason Bateman, and Aaron Paul.
