A woman in Pittsburgh named Julie Stroyne Nixon got married to her longtime boyfriend last Saturday. And they were walking to their hotel after the reception when they heard someone calling for help.
It turned out there was a woman lying on a bench, and several other people were trying to help her, but didn’t know CPR.
Luckily Julie is a trauma nurse. So she ran over . . . immediately started doing chest compressions . . . and saved the woman’s life. All while she was still in her WEDDING DRESS.
The woman eventually came to . . . started mumbling . . . and tried to get up. But Julie knew she might fall. So she held her hand and made her stay there until paramedics arrived.
She told the local news that you never truly get a day off when you’re a nurse. Still . . . she never thought she’d be doing CPR on her wedding night.
So she’s also glad she only had one glass of champagne at the reception. (UPI / Observer-Reporter)
