A woman named Holly Sanderson works as a secretary at a law firm in La Plata, Maryland, outside D.C.
And everyone else in the office was out to lunch on Tuesday when she heard a woman start SCREAMING outside, and it turned out she was in LABOR.
Apparently she and her husband were driving to the hospital, and it was only a half-a-mile away. But she wasn’t gonna make it.
So even though Holly had no medical training, she brought them inside . . . grabbed the office medical kit . . . put some latex gloves on . . . and delivered the baby HERSELF.
Then she realized the umbilical cord was wrapped around its neck, and it wasn’t breathing. So she calmly untangled it. And the fact that she worked so fast probably saved the kid’s LIFE.
EMTs showed up right after that, and the mom and baby are both fine. She ended up having a girl, and named her Isabella. And there’s a picture of Holly holding her at the hospital. (WUSA9 / TheBayNet.com)
