Even if you were pulling for Cleveland in the World Series, you’ve gotta admit this is pretty great . . .
A guy in North Carolina named Wayne Williams has been a die-hard Cubs fan his entire life. We’re not sure how old he is, but he looks like he’s in his mid to late 60s.
And before his dad passed away in 1980, they made a pact to watch the World Series together when the Cubs finally got there again.
So on Wednesday, Wayne drove 600 miles from North Carolina to where his dad is buried in Indiana. Then he set up shop right next to his gravesite . . . and listened to Game 7 with him on the radio.
He brought a Cubs Win Flag with him . . . that’s the big white victory flag they put up at Wrigley every time they win a game. And when the game ended, he laid it right next to the grave marker before he left.
