There’s a five-year-old kid named Billy Nolin in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.
And last Thursday he called 911, but there wasn’t an emergency. He just wanted to invite the cops to THANKSGIVING.
Apparently his parents let him play with an old cell phone that was deactivated, but it could still make emergency calls. And his entire message was only about ten seconds long. He said to come over because his family was eating Thanksgiving dinner, and hung up.
Then he got in trouble when his mom found out. But two cops showed up a few minutes later, just to make sure everything was okay. And they said his phone call was the best thing that happened all DAY.
They didn’t end up eating dinner. But they gave him a sheriff’s badge before they left, and let him play with the siren in their car.
Then before they left, Billy told them he wants to be a cop when he grows up so he can, quote, “be nice to little kids like [they were].”
