Remember the song “Closing Time” by Semisonic? It came out in 1998 and perhaps it made you feel things. Well . . . it’s back in the news in a very strange way.
A woman in Forest Grove, Oregon called the cops on Saturday because there was a guy outside of her house who just wouldn’t stop whistling “Closing Time”.
She told him to, quote, “shut up” . . . they got in an argument . . . and she finally called the police.
By the time they got there, the guy was gone, but the cops were able to track him down . . . because he was STILL whistling “Closing Time”.
The cops talked with him and he agreed to go home. The police report mentions that as he walked away, he kept on whistling “Closing Time”.
