Police in Canada are taking a new jab with those Nickelback jokes.
Police in the small town of Kensington in Prince Edward Island are trying to cut down on drunk driving over the holidays by making a very specific threat . . .
Anyone arrested for DUI will be fined, charged, issued a year-long driving suspension, and forced to listen to Nickelback’s third album “Silver Side Up” on their trip to jail.
In a Facebook post, the department says, quote, “Now, now, no need to thank us, we figure if you are foolish enough to get behind the wheel after drinking, then a little Chad Kroeger and the boys is the perfect gift for you . . .
“You don’t drink and drive, and we won’t make you listen to it.”
