America’s most popular Christmas carol is “Silent Night”, according to a new poll of over 1,000 people. Apparently, they just don’t write Christmas carols like they used to . . . back in 1818.
The poll was conducted by the Saint Leo University Polling Institute, and the participants could pick between 46 options . . . and they could choose more than one. Here’s the Top 10:
- “Silent Night”
- “White Christmas”
- “Jingle Bells”
- “O Come All Ye Faithful”
- “Joy to the World”
- “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”
- “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”
- “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”
- “The Little Drummer Boy”
- “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”.
If you’re curious, “Merry Christmas, Darling” came in 46th place with the least votes. “Wonderful Christmastime” was the second least-liked . . . followed by “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)”.
