There’s a Catholic elementary school in Columbus, Ohio called St. Mary that raises money each year by selling Christmas trees.
Some of the money goes to charity, and some of it pays for stuff like field trips and school supplies. And they’ve been doing it for over 40 years, but apparently THIS has never happened before . . .
On Monday afternoon, some guy pulled up in his car and said he wanted to buy ALL of their trees.
It’s not clear how much he spent, but they still had dozens of trees left that were going for about $50 each. So that’s at least a couple thousand bucks.
He didn’t take them with him though . . . obviously you can’t fit two dozen trees on your car. Instead, he told them to KEEP all of the trees, and give them away for FREE to anybody who needed one.
They posted something about it on their Facebook page that day, and all of the trees were gone within 24 hours.
One woman talked to the local news and said she wasn’t planning to get a tree this year, because she couldn’t afford it. But she rushed over as soon as she saw the Facebook post, and they still had a few left. (Columbus Dispatch / Facebook)
