A 22-year-old baseball player for LSU named Jared Poché pitched the final game of the College World Series on Tuesday. But his DAD Jerry was the biggest story this week.
Jerry was at Game 1 on Monday when an 87-year-old guy in the crowd COLLAPSED in his seat during the sixth inning. He had a heart attack, wasn’t breathing, and didn’t have a pulse.
But luckily Jerry happens to be a DOCTOR. So he and another dad started doing CPR . . . kept at it for about five minutes . . . and brought the guy BACK.
The other dad was a firefighter named Jimmy Roy. His son Travis is LSU’s strength and conditioning coach. While Jerry did chest compressions, he did mouth-to-mouth.
By the time paramedics got there, the guy was stable. And he was conscious when they wheeled him out on a stretcher. As of Tuesday night, he was listed in fair condition.
Jerry also helped out at a game on Saturday after a little kid got hit in the head by a foul ball. So he really got some work in this past week.
LSU ended up losing to Florida in the College World Series, but his son Jared pitched well. And he’s got bigger things to worry about now anyway, because he recently got drafted by the Oakland A’s. (Bleacher Report / Fox News)
