(New York, NY) — Organizers planning the Times Square New Year’s Eve celebration are announcing this year’s lineup. An opening ceremony featuring a Chinese cultural performance will mark the lighting and raising of the ball to be dropped at midnight. Celebrity guests will also read wishes for 2018 that were written on confetti and submitted by the public. Included among the star packed lineup of entertainers are Neil Diamond, Mariah Carey, Nick Jonas, and Andy Grammer.
Folks are encouraged to follow the celebration on Twitter with the hashtag #BallDrop. The event will be live streamed on the web and is also available for smartphone users with the Times Square Ball App.
